Southcentral Foundation (SCF) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a part-time, on-site role in Anchorage, AK. The Nurse Practitioner will provide direct patient care within the SCF clinics serving Alaska Native communities, with emphasis on culturally appropriate care and wellness.

Licensure in Alaska and AANP/ANCC certification are required, along with BLS; ACLS/NRP/ATLS/ALSO/PALS as specialty requires. This position is part-time with on-site obligations.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Alaska.
• Current certification by the AANP or ANCC.
• BLS certification is required; additional advanced certifications as required.
• Meets privileges for associate medical staff membership as applicable.
• Familiarity with Alaska Native health context and populations.

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Nurse Practitioner Fast Track is responsible for providing direct patient care in assigned area.

Qualifications:

SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:

• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Alaska.
• Current certification by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
• Meets all requirements in order to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.
