Summary of Job Responsibilities:
The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) is actively seeking nurse practitioners to become an integral part of a growing continuum of behavioral health care services This posting is for a new program, Crisis Stabilization, a short term, high intensity program that accepts walk ins and first responder drop offs. Responsibilities include participation as a member of a multidisciplinary integrated care team, medical and psychiatric evaluation and management, supporting and following legal requirements, de-escalation and crisis intervention, engagement in milieu, and care coordination.
All employees for this position within the Crisis Stabilization program will be expected to successfully complete Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Nonviolent Crisis Intervention with Advanced Physical Skills training upon hire.
Qualifications:
SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Experience in primary care, emergency/crisis psychiatry, peripartum care, geriatrics, substance use disorder and/or withdrawal management.
