Job summary

Southcentral Foundation (SCF) seeks a Clinical Director to oversee clinical supervision and lead the department in partnership with operational leadership. This role provides direct customer-owner care and drives clinical excellence within the service area.

Candidates should hold an Alaska license or be approved as a Native healer where applicable, with 3 years of clinical experience and BLS certification. Relocation and sign-on incentives are available.

Qualifications

• Current professional license in the State of Alaska as appropriate
• Three (3) years of clinical experience in scope of practice or demonstrated proficiency
• Meets requirements to obtain associate medical staff membership and privileges
• BLS certification is required; ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO may be required depending on scope

Summary of Job Responsibilities:

The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Clinical Director is responsible for managing and providing clinical supervision and leadership for the department(s) they are assigned to, in partnership with operational leadership. The Clinical Director provides direct customer-owner care.

Qualifications:

SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services:

• Current professional license in the State of Alaska as appropriate OR experience and acceptance as a Native healer in providing traditional practices for Tribal Doctor.
• Three (3) years of clinical experience providing care in the scope of practice based on their license OR demonstrated proficiency in a similar position at SCF.
• Meets all requirements to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO and PALS as required for specialty and any certification relating to the scope of practice as required.
