Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner to join our Sterling, Colorado team on a day shift.

The position offers local pay at $148.00 per hour on a 1099 contract, with a focus on delivering high-quality care in a correctional setting. Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, diagnosing conditions, ordering tests, prescribing treatments, and coordinating with physicians.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted CO license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a NP in the last 3 years.
• Copy of current PSV from licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, examinations, and medical histories.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and lab results.
• Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans within scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment options, and health maintenance.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR.
• Promote preventive care and wellness through education and screenings.
• Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines and facility policies.

Nurse Practitioner (NP) Duties & Responsibilities:
