Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for Snow Hill, North Carolina. The role involves comprehensive patient assessments, treatment of acute and chronic conditions, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a correctional healthcare setting.

This full-time position offers local pay hourly, with contract option (1099). Applicants must hold an NC NP license, have at least 2 years of NP experience, and provide PSV and required certifications.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted North Carolina NP license in good standing.
• Minimum of 2 years+ of recent experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board or verification agency if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, examinations, and medical histories.
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
• Prescribe medications and develop individualized treatment plans within scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families on disease prevention, treatment options, and health maintenance.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR.
• Promote preventive care and wellness through patient education and screenings.
• Ensure compliance with clinical guidelines, facility policies, and regulatory standards.
