Job summary

TeamHealth is seeking a Part-time PMHNP or Psych PA-C to provide specialized psychiatric care for older adults in post-acute settings across Fairhope, Daphne, and Mobile, AL. The role offers clinical autonomy, flexible scheduling, and strong organizational support with no night or weekend shifts.

Responsibilities include evaluations, diagnoses, treatment, psychotropic management, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted AL license as PMHNP-C or Psych PA-C.
• Active DEA license or willingness to obtain.
• 6+ months PMHNP or Psych PA experience as a clinician.
• Experience with older adults or post-acute care preferred.

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations.
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders in older adults.
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings.
• Provide brief interventions and behavioral management.
• Onsite patient care with remote documentation.

Role Overview

Part-time (2 days per week) within Monday - Friday

Enjoy stability, support, and flexibility with onsite patient care and remote documentation

No nights or weekends

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and mental status examinations
• Diagnose and treat psychiatric, behavioral, and neurocognitive disorders in older adults
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Evaluate behavioral and safety concerns
• Provide brief interventions and behavioral management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams across care settings

Coverage area includes Fairhope, Daphne, and Mobile, AL
