Job summary

Wellpath / Correct Care Solutions seeks a Nurse Practitioner to provide medical services to incarcerated patients under the supervision of the Site Medical Director. You will perform exams, chronic care, and infirmary rounds while documenting in SOAP format and following formulary guidelines.

Requires current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state, CPR certification, and willingness to work Monday–Thursday in a corrections setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Advanced degree in an approved and accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

Responsibilities

• Provides medical care to inmates, including conducting exams, chronic care clinics, and infirmary rounds.
• Maintains accurate SOAP progress notes and adheres to formulary guidelines.
• Responds to emergencies and makes decisions regarding non-formulary drugs or off-site referrals.
• Supports policies for admission, transfer, and specialty referrals.
• Maintains confidentiality and contributes to facility committees as requested.

Education
