Affiliated Oncologists is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for a full-time in-office position in Chicago Ridge, IL and/or Orland Park, IL. The NP will work under supervision or with practice physicians, providing cancer care including prevention, screening, patient education, and possibly telemedicine.

Responsibilities include assessing and planning care, initiating interventions, documenting in EMR, supporting staff, and may participate in research or trials.

Qualifications

• MSN and NP program completion; valid NP license.
• Minimum 3 years as practicing NP.
• Oncology experience strongly preferred; BLS/CPR cert required.

Responsibilities

Join Affiliated Oncologists as a Nurse Practitioner!

AO specializes in treating a variety of cancers including lymphoma lung, breast, prostate, gynecologic, colorectal and head and neck cancers. Our physicians and staff are multi-disciplinary team of highly experiencedcaregivers focused on helping patients and their families receive the best care and support possible.

SCOPE: Under supervision or in collaboration with practice physicians, involved in the care of individuals, families and patient groups who are dealing with cancer or other related diagnosis. This care may be in clinic or virtually, via telemedicine. Responsibilities may include duties related to prevention, screening, patient care, management, and research. May serve as direct caregiver, health care consultant, patient educator, administrator, or researcher. Ensures compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards and requirements. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assesses, plans,implements,and evaluates care for patients.

• May mentor newadvanced practice providers

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
• This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner.
• Previous oncology experience strongly preferred.
• RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state required.
• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner required.
• Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

Salary Range

• $106,000 - $150,000 per year
