Job summary

Stow-Kent Family Practice is seeking a Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about patient-centered care. Join an established practice committed to teamwork, supportive leadership, and serving the local community in Stow, OH.

Responsibilities include exams, histories, care plans, diagnostics, and patient education within a collaborative team. This role requires Ohio APN authorization and prescriptive authority.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited nursing program.
• APN authorization in Ohio to practice in family health by the Board of Nursing.
• Prescriptive authorization.
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records and information systems.
• Understanding of HIPAA and OSHA regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of disease processes and prevention.

Responsibilities

• Performing physical exams and patient observations.
• Recording patients' medical histories and symptoms.
• Creating patient care plans and contributing to existing ones.
• Ordering and analyzing diagnostic tests.
• Diagnosing health issues.
• Detecting changes in patients' health and modifying treatment plans.
• Educating patients and families to manage and prevent illness and injury.
• Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs.
