Job summary

Premise Health Inc. is seeking a Full Time Nurse Practitioner to provide care to client employees at our Health Center in Hagerstown, MD. The role operates Monday to Friday, 2nd shift from 3:00p to 11:00p, with a robust benefits package for full-time staff.

The position emphasizes exams, procedures, patient education, care planning, and collaboration with physicians to ensure high-quality, continuous care and documentation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing required; transcripts if MS degree does not state Nursing.
• Maintains RN and NP licenses/certificates to practice.
• Maintains prescriptive authority and DEA license where applicable.
• National certification required (ANCC or AANP).
• BLS/ACLS or equivalent may be required by contract scope.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines.
• Performs injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management.
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care.
• Educates patients on treatment plans and health maintenance.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess conditions.
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care.
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies.
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed.
• Maintains health records with accurate and up-to-date documentation.
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

What You’ll Bring

• Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing (if Master Degree in Science certificate does not state Nursing on it then a copy of transcripts is required).
• Maintains state RN licenses/certificates to practice.
• Maintains Nurse Practitioner licenses/certificates to practice.
• Maintains State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable).
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable) .
• 103 NP may be required (California Only)
• State Narcotic/Controlled Substance license if required in your state (Alabama, Connecticut, DC, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, Wyoming, Puerto Rico) (New York ROPES registration).
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required).
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services.

Premise provides its reasonable and genuinely expected range of compensation for this job of $124,000.00 - $155,000.00 annually. A number of factors will influence the rate offered for this position, including your experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other factors.
