Job summary

Premise Health is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to serve as the sole provider at our Clayton, NC Occupational Health Center. You will work autonomously with support from nearby clinical teams when needed, handling exams, procedures, and patient education.

You will bring NP licensure, prescriptive authority, and national certification, with a track record of ambulatory or occupational health experience. A strong benefits package and CME allowance support ongoing professional growth.

Qualifications

• RN and NP licensure and certification current in applicable states.
• Prescriptive authority and DEA registration where required.
• National certification in appropriate specialty (ANCC or AANP).
• MSN or higher in Nursing; transcripts if degree does not state Nursing.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and preventive care per guidelines.
• Conduct procedures (injections, suturing, wound care, infection management).
• Develop patient care plans and ensure continuity of care.
• Educate patients on treatment and health maintenance.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests; collaborate with physicians.
• Prescribe or recommend treatments; refer to specialists as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Conducts physical exams and preventive health measures per guidelines
• Performs procedures such as injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management
• Develops patient care plans, records progress, and ensures continuity of care
• Educates patients on treatment plans, health maintenance, and development
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests to assess clinical conditions
• Collaborates with physicians and healthcare teams for comprehensive care
• Prescribes or recommends treatments, including medications and therapies
• Refers patients to specialists or physicians as needed
• Maintains patient health records ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation and records
• Educates and coaches nursing staff on best practices
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• Maintains state RN licenses/certificates to practice
• Maintains Nurse Practitioner licenses/certificates to practice
• Maintains State Prescriptive Authority (if applicable)
• Federal DEA license (matching each state of practice as applicable)
• Current national certification (ANCC or AANP required)
• Master’s Degree in Science of Nursing (if Master Degree in Science certificate does not state Nursing on it then a copy of transcripts is required)
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services
• At least three years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice or emergency department setting
