Morehouse School of Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practitioner with immediate availability.
Experienced – Critical Care (Surgical, and Trauma
Department of Surgery
Candidate must be a Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant with Master’s degree, with experience in Surgical Critical Care and Trauma.
The ACNP or PA will be working with board-certified Trauma and Critical Care Surgeons on intra-disciplinary ICU teams providing front line management of critically ill and injured patients. Our critical care services provide ICU management of trauma, and emergency surgery patient populations. The Advanced Practitioners (APs) in the Trauma Critical Care Unit will function autonomously and in collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and other health care professionals to diagnose, treat, and manage complex injuries and critical illness. These APs will also perform procedures as outlined in the privileging agreements (central lines, arterial lines, chest tubes, ICP monitor placements).
In addition the candidate will have to be committed to the education and scholarly mission of the Institution. This position is located at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Grady is a 595 bed hospital with 3,500 trauma admissions per year.
