Job summary

Veterans Affairs hospital seeks an RN Operating Room Scheduler to coordinate and facilitate cross-functional surgical practice in collaboration with Surgery, Anesthesia, and Nursing Services. The role requires BSN/ADN with RN licensure, and experience in surgical scheduling and coordination.

The RN will manage the Mastery Surgery Schedule, use surgical software, and act as a resource for residents and fellows while ensuring patient readiness and care continuity.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an approved nursing program and licensed.
• Current, full, active, and unrestricted RN registration in a US state or territory.

Responsibilities

• Manage operating room scheduling to maximize room utilization and surgical block time.
• Coordinate Mastery Surgery Schedule development daily across departments (Surgery, Anesthesia, Nursing).
• Input data for scheduling into the Surgical Software Package and adjust as needed.
• Serve as nexus among surgeons, anesthesia providers, and nursing; collaborate across departments for case prep.
