Job summary

Orlando Health Lake Mary Hospital is seeking a Nursing Operations Manager for the IP Med Tele unit. This role provides leadership and operational oversight for inpatient direct care, ensuring high-quality patient care, safety, and efficient patient flow on a day schedule.

Med Tele experience is MUST. The position leads staffing, budgeting, and change management while collaborating with hospital leadership to meet strategic goals and maintain excellent patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Requires a BSN.
• 2 years registered nurse experience in an acute care setting.
• 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Florida RN license or NLC required.
• Current BLS certification.
• May require ACLS/PALS/NALS/TNCC depending on patient population.
• ANCC/AONL leadership certification within 2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership and operational oversight for an inpatient direct care unit or units; accountable for achieving department and hospital goals.
• Evaluates environment and drives quality service, patient flow, safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
• Plans and leads delivery of patient care to achieve sustained outcomes; promotes high reliability and safety.
• Identifies, recruits, develops, and retains top talent; manages recruitment, mentorship, retention, supervision, and performance.
• Develops, manages unit budgets and responds to changing patient and staff needs in a cost-effective manner.
• Supports the implementation of new technologies and services to improve day-to-day operations.
• Monitors and improves nursing practice to align with national standards and evidence-based care.
• Partners with nursing leadership to ensure outstanding patient/customer experience.
