Job summary

Global Medical Response is operating the SkillBridge Nurse Navigation OJT program in Lewisville, TX, inviting active-duty U.S. military members to participate in skilled employment training during the last 180 days of service.

This in-office role requires RN or LVN/LPN licenses, strong communication, computer skills, and the ability to navigate 911 callers to appropriate patient care using evidence-based protocols. Shift work includes days and nights.

Qualifications

• 3+ years nurse experience in indirect urgent patient care
• Experience in Emergency or Acute Care settings preferred
• Behavioral Health experience and care coordination
• Phone assessment and/or triage experience preferred
• Experience with clinical data gathering and adherence to ethical principles

Responsibilities

• Telephonically assesses patients and navigates care based on evidence-based protocols
• Demonstrates effective communication with patients, families and care teams
• Collaborates with team, referral sources, physicians and facility staff
• Learns and uses computer software and documentation systems
• Manages time, resources and documentation requirements
• Provides excellent customer service
