Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Current RN license or acceptable license by the State Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide innovative leadership to maximize department performance and oversee resources.
• Deliver care to a patient group and evaluate multidisciplinary care to improve outcomes.
• Align care within hospital philosophy and coordinate with departments for seamless service.
• Ensure hospital compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and accrediting bodies.
• Oversee Swing Bed admissions, including eligibility, authorizations, and payer coordination.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, case management, and provider teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Monitor regulatory compliance and Swing Bed program performance per Medicare guidelines.
