Job summary

Providence Kodiak Alaska Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM), a Registered Nurse who will report to the unit director/manager and oversee clinical and operational activities within assigned shifts.

The ANM will coach and mentor nursing staff, ensure compliance with standards and policies, and provide input for performance evaluation while maintaining a strong managerial presence across all shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree Graduate from School of nursing (BS or BSN). Registered Nurses employed in this role prior to November 1, 2024 are encouraged to pursue the BSN degree but obtaining the degree will not be a condition of employment.
• Upon hire: Alaska Registered Nurse License
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Manage clinical and operational activities within assigned shift using the nursing process.
• Provide managerial presence for all shifts and support the director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating unit services.
• Coach, mentor, and collaborate with caregivers to deliver quality health care and ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide input to the director/manager for performance evaluation and continuous improvement.
