Job summary

Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) to oversee clinical and operational activities on an assigned shift. The ANM reports to the unit director and supports planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services while providing managerial presence for all shifts.

The role requires a BSN (or progress toward BSN), Alaska RN license, and BLS certification. Leadership and governance experience are preferred to drive quality care and staff development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing; BSN preferred but not required.
• Alaska RN License is required upon hire.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Apply nursing process to manage clinical and operational activities on assigned shift.
• Support the unit director/manager in planning, organizing, directing and evaluating services.
• Manage clinical and non-clinical caregivers and provide input for performance evaluation.
• Ensure compliance with professional nursing standards and regulatory requirements; coach, mentor and collaborate to deliver quality care.
