Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Operating Room to lead a highly skilled perioperative team and drive excellence in patient outcomes through compassionate, evidence‑based care.

You will oversee staffing, quality and performance improvement, collaborate with surgeons and the Nurse Executive, and help shape daily schedules and budgets to sustain a best-in-class perioperative program.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state.
• BSN degree required for hires after 1/11/2021.
• Two years supervisory/management experience required.
• Two years of Surgical Nursing experience.
• Current ACLS certification required at hire and maintained.
• PALS certification for facilities caring for pediatric population.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in the perioperative environment.
• Manage staff in all Perioperative Departments.
• Consult with staff, physicians and Nurse Executive on nursing issues and policy interpretations.
• Maintain performance improvement activities within the department.
• Assist with formulation of the department budget.

Responsibilities

The Manager of Perioperative Services is responsible for direction of patient care in the perioperative environment. The Manager manages the staff members in all Perioperative Departments. Consults with staff, physicians and Nurse Executive on nursing issues and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met. Maintains performance improvement activities within the department and assists with formulation of budget for the department.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Must have a current and valid state license as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• A minimum of two years supervisory/management experience necessary.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), required for all hires after 1/11/2021.
• CNOR; preferred.
• Current ACLS (AHA) Certification upon hire and maintain current
• At least two (2) years of experience in Surgical Nursing.
• Current PALS (AHA) certification for those facilities caring for pediatric population.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $88,483.20 to $119,100.80 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
