Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program with active Iowa RN license.
• BSN preferred; ADN or Nursing Diploma acceptable with appropriate licensure.
• ACLS and CPR/BCLS certifications encouraged; CRRN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing operations on the unit.
• Supervise nursing staff and ensure adherence to clinical policies.
• Consult with physicians and Program Director on nursing practices.
• Ensure staffing levels meet patient care needs.

How you'll contribute

The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing nursing operations within an assigned unit, including supervision of nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical policies and standards, and collaborating with leadership to optimize patient care delivery.

• Provide overall direction and supervision of patient care and nursing personnel on the unit.
• Consult with staff, physicians, and the Program Director regarding nursing practices and hospital policies.
• Ensure nursing staff compliance with clinical policies and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations and the preparation of related reports.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
• Implement and uphold Standards of Nursing Practice across all functions.
• Serve as the administrative representative in the absence of the Program Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.BSN Preferred.
• Active Iowa RN license (single-state or compact) required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred.
• CRRN Certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years of previous nursing leadership preferred.
• Minimum of two years previous rehab nursing experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
