Job summary

MercyOne Clive Rehabilitation Hospital, a 50-bed inpatient acute rehab in Clive, IA, seeks a Nurse Manager to provide direction for patient care and supervise nursing staff on the unit. Working with physicians and the Program Director, you will ensure policy compliance, appropriate staffing, and adherence to nursing standards while supporting incident investigations and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• RN license in Iowa (or compact) required.
• CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• CRRN certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years nursing leadership experience.
• Minimum of two years rehab nursing experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall direction and supervision of patient care and nursing personnel on the unit.
• Consult with staff, physicians, and the Program Director regarding nursing practices and hospital policies.
• Ensure nursing staff compliance with clinical policies and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations and the preparation of related reports.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
• Implement and uphold Standards of Nursing Practice across all functions.
• Serve as the administrative representative in the absence of the Program Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. BSN Preferred.
• Active Iowa RN license (single-state or compact) required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred.
• CRRN Certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years of previous nursing leadership preferred.
• Minimum of two years previous rehab nursing experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
