MercyOne Clive Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager (RN) to oversee nursing operations on the rehabilitation unit. You will supervise staff, ensure policy adherence, and collaborate with physicians and leadership to optimize patient care delivery.

The ideal candidate has an Iowa RN license, CPR/BCLS, and 2+ years of nursing leadership with rehab experience. ACLS/CRRN preferred. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN, ADN, or Nursing Diploma program.
• Active Iowa RN license required; multi-state license acceptable.
• CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred; CRRN preferred.
• Minimum two years of nursing leadership experience; rehab nursing preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; problem solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing operations on the assigned unit, including staff supervision and policy adherence.
• Provide direction and supervision of patient care and nursing personnel.
• Consult with staff, physicians, and program leadership on practices and policies.
• Ensure staff compliance with clinical policies and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations and reporting.
• Maintain appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
• Uphold Standards of Nursing Practice across functions.
• Act as administrative representative when the Program Director is absent.

MercyOne Clive Rehabilitation Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 50-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to the treatment and recovery of individuals who have experienced the debilitating effects of a severe injury or illness. Our rehabilitation programs provide ongoing care and specialized treatment to patients throughout their recovery journey. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation tailored to the specific needs of those recovering from a stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. How you'll contribute

• The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing nursing operations within an assigned unit, including supervision of nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical policies and standards, and collaborating with leadership to optimize patient care delivery.
• Provide overall direction and supervision of patient care and nursing personnel on the unit.
• Consult with staff, physicians, and the Program Director regarding nursing practices and hospital policies.
• Ensure nursing staff compliance with clinical policies and procedures.
• Participate in incident investigations and the preparation of related reports.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet patient care needs.
• Implement and uphold Standards of Nursing Practice across all functions.
• Serve as the administrative representative in the absence of the Program Director.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What we're looking for

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program. BSN Preferred.
• Active Iowa RN license (single-state or compact) required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
• CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred.
• CRRN Certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years of previous nursing leadership preferred.
• Minimum of two years previous rehab nursing experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
