Job summary

Copper Springs Hospital Avondale is seeking a Nurse Manager – Registered Nurse (RN) in Behavioral Health to lead a multidisciplinary team and drive patient care excellence in a full-time, 5x8 daytime schedule.

You will manage staff relations, performance, scheduling, recruitment, payroll, and staff development while ensuring regulatory compliance, budgets, contracts, and vendor relations are effectively coordinated.

Qualifications

• RN license current in state of practice.
• BLS certification required (AHA).
• Three years of medical-surgical nursing experience with at least two years in a supervisory role.

Nurse Manager – Registered Nurse (RN), Behavioral Health

Job Type: Full-Time | Schedule: 5x8, Days (8am-5pm)

Responsibilities

• Assists with developing specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
• Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management. Performs and oversees scheduling, staff development, recruitment, payroll, and student engagements.
• Monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations. Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
• Assesses the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments. May provide patient care when necessary.
• Creates and fosters an environment that encourages professional growth.
• Integrates evidence-based practices into operations and clinical protocols.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing school or an associate’s degree with current enrollment in a bachelor’s program for nursing.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Three years of experience in all aspects of medical surgical nursing and a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
• Current Arizona or compact multi-state RN license.
• BSN or ADN with current enrollment in a BSN program required.
