Job summary

Community Rehabilitation Hospital West is a 44-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital dedicated to treating individuals after severe injuries or illnesses. The Nurse Manager (RN) leads the Nursing Department under the Chief Nursing Officer, ensuring policy compliance and coordinating with the leadership team to achieve hospital goals.

The role requires an RN with a BSN/ADN or Diploma, current state licensure, CPR/BCLS (ACLS preferred), and strong leadership and rehab nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited BSN/ADN or nursing diploma program.
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse.
• CPR/BCLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• CRRN certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years of nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years of rehab nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead Nursing Department under the CNO and leadership team.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.
• Supervise Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, RNs, LPN/LVNs, CNAs/Nas and Unit Secretaries.
• Implement hospital goals within budget parameters and reinforce the hospital mission.

Position Summary:

The Nurse Manager functions under the direction and supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer and assumes responsibility for the Nursing Department. The Nurse Manager in collaboration with the CNO and leadership team assists to implement, interpret and ensure compliance with policies and procedures including regulatory and accreditation standards. The Nurse Manager supervises the Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, RNs, LPN/LVNs, CNAs/Nas and Unit Secretaries. The Nurse Manager is responsible for implementing hospital goals and objectives based on budget parameters. The Nurse manager reinforces the mission and vison of the hospital in all interactions.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
• Current state licensure as Registered Nurse.
• CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred.
• CRRN Certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years of previous nursing leadership preferred.
• Minimum of two years of previous rehab nursing experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
