Summit Oaks Hospital invites a Nurse Manager to lead the Rehab Unit on a full-time basis. Under CNO supervision, you will oversee 24-hour nursing care, guide staff, collaborate with medical leadership, and drive quality improvements in a psychiatric/rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications

• NJ RN license required and current
• Minimum 3 years hospital-based nursing experience
• Minimum 2 years in psychiatric nursing
• BSN or related health field; active pursuit acceptable
• Past supervision of staff experience
• ANCC psychiatric/mental health certification preferred
• Current CPR certification required
• Strong management and supervisory skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to plan, direct and monitor staff performance with leadership

Responsibilities

• Monitor the delivery of patient care.
• Collaborate with Medical Staff and Department Managers to meet service needs.
• Foster open communications and assist in the assessment of new referrals.
• Facilitate resolution of complaints or grievances in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Make decisions on structure, coordination and resources for cost-effective care 24/7.
• Lead Performance Improvement activities to improve department efficiency.
• Participate in hiring, promotion, discipline and staff orientation/education.
• Apply growth and development knowledge to age-specific patient care.
