Job summary

State of Maryland seeks an experienced Nursing Manager CI Facility at MDH Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center in Jessup to plan and coordinate nursing care across all shifts.

This role directly supervises Registered Nurse Supervisors, CI and, through them, Registered Nurses, CI, under supervision from an Assistant Director of Nursing, CI or Director of Nursing, CI. The position requires a Maryland RN license, 4 years of RN experience with supervisory/administrative roles and 2 years in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or health-related field.
• Four years as a Registered Nurse incl. two years supervisory/administrative or consultative capacity and two years in a psychiatric setting.
• Substitution: Master’s degree in Nursing or health-related field plus two years RN psychiatric experience; six years RN with three years supervisory in psychiatry; armed forces nursing experience may substitute for education/experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate nursing care for a division across all shifts.
• Directly supervise Registered Nurse Supervisors, CI and through them supervise Registered Nurses, CI.
• Observe infection control precautions and comply with safety requirements.
• Handle call-in and overtime based on staffing needs.
