Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Nurse Manager of Perioperative Services in Des Moines, IA to lead daily operations, coordinate nursing activities, and partner with physicians and staff to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

Under the Director, you'll help budget, plan throughput, mentor staff, ensure compliance with Joint Commission and HIPAA, and drive performance improvement while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered culture.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa RN license or compact state license.
• BSN preferred; active enrollment acceptable in some programs.
• Minimum of two years RN perioperative experience.
• Management experience preferred.
• CNOR or equivalent certification preferred.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS required or obtained within specified timelines.
• English language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and review policies and procedures guiding services.
• Support staff to ensure positive patient care experiences and resolve complaints.
• Develop staffing plans for supervised areas with input from director/administrators.
• Supervise staff, provide education, orientation and support.
• Contribute to annual operating and capital budgets and monitor performance.
• Provide front-line leadership for team-based patient care.
• Coordinate equipment and supply needs for service delivery.
• Attend and lead department and staff meetings; conduct huddles.
• Promote safety culture and continuous quality improvement.
• Assist with interviewing, scheduling and personnel records as needed.
