Qualifications

• Must hold an unrestricted NP or PA license to practice in Iowa.
• Board certification evidences the required training and skills.
• Active Mercy Medical Staff membership with clinical privileges.
• Must maintain Medicare/Medicaid participation and not be excluded.
• Unrestricted DEA number and state drug permits.

Responsibilities

• Manages patient care after initiating treatment/preventive plan.
• Prescribes medications and treatment regimens as approved.
• Documents and maintains patient records per guidelines.
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives and community activities.
• Keeps knowledge current with billing policies and regulations.
