BHS Baptist Healthcare System seeks a manager to oversee daily operations of departments, ensuring safe and effective patient care. Responsibilities include managing resources, staffing, and leading performance improvements while meeting fiscal targets.

Manages the daily operations of the department(s). Responsibilities include management of resources, process improvement activities, staffing and scheduling, and assuring delivery of safe, effective, timely patient care in areas of responsibility. Monitors financial performance of department(s) and assures expenses and productivity align with workload and meets fiscal targets. Leads departmental activities and monitors care provided to comply with quality and customer service goals. Assure good two-way communication with staff. Lead/participate in multidisciplinary and interdepartmental initiatives to improve care, services, and efficiencies. May need to assist with patient care on nursing unit. Supervises nursing care and interventions ensuring that nursing practice standards are met. Assesses unit activities, including nursing and medical plan of care to ensure quality of patient care is delivered. Monitor’s quality, patient experience, and productivity metrics; communicates metrics and rationale for process change/interventions to staff. Leads performance improvement and process improvement on the unit. Maintains adequate staffing levels to promote safe, efficient patient care.
Requirement Bachelor's degree in nursing required Three years clinical experience and successful performances Current licensure recognized by the Kentucky Stat Board of Nursing BLS from AHA required within 90 days of hire.
