Advocate Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager for the Orthopedics/Med Surg unit at Good Shepherd Hospital. The role oversees nursing practice, staffing, budget and coordination with care teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

The position requires RN licensure in Illinois, a BSN (Master’s preferred), and progressive management experience with strong communication and leadership skills. 40-hour full-time schedule with 24-hour accountability and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred or BS in related health care field (Master’s preferred).
• 2 years progressive management experience; 4+ years appropriate clinical skills.
• Current licensure in state of Illinois; CPR.
• Strong leadership and team-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements & evaluates standards of nursing practice to assure quality care.
• Maintains efficient & effective departmental operations.
• Plans and monitors staffing according to policy and budget.
• Ensures supplies and equipment are available for department needs.
• Coordinates with care teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
• Leads staff development, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Collaborates with physicians and care coordinators to optimize patient care.
