Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
  • Master’s degree in nursing is strongly preferred.
  • Three years of nursing experience is required.
  • Oncology experience is strongly preferred.
  • Must have current or compact RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
  • BCLS certification required.
  • Nurses hired into leadership positions must obtain a nursing leadership certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the development of the clinical areas' strategic and operational plans.
  • Actively support and promote a professional practice model that encourages staff participation in the development of clinical standards.
  • Interface with patients and families to ensure care aligns with expectations and nursing process.
  • Ensure a diverse unit-based workforce and promote inclusion.
  • Oversee staffing, budgeting, and resource management for 24-hour operation.
