Medical City Arlington seeks a Nurse Manager of Neuro‑Med Surg to lead the department, oversee patient care delivery, and drive high standards of nursing practice. You will direct staff, manage resources, and ensure adherence to hospital policies while maintaining quality and safety for diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
• Current State of Texas RN license or compact state license required.
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the department's function and plan for delivery of patient care while containing costs.
• Maintain working conditions that enhance staff competence, autonomy and accountability.
• Ensure adherence to hospital and departmental plans, nursing procedures, standards and practices.
• Lead the Medical City Arlington team to impact public perception through patient care considering patient age/condition.
• Oversee supervision of personnel, including work allocation, training and problem resolution.
• Evaluate performance and make recommendations for personnel actions.
• Motivate employees to achieve peak productivity and performance.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures aligned with the organization and nursing standards.
• Promote effective communication within the multi-professional team.

• You will oversee the supervision of personnel, which includes work allocation, training and problem resolution.
• You will evaluate performance and make recommendations for personnel actions.

Education / Licensure / Certifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Current State of Texas RN license or compact state license required.
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

Experience

• Recent experience at the level of staff nurse, preferably within the last two years.
• Additional significant experience in area of specialty is preferred.
• Three years of management experience preferred.
