Job summary

Medical City Arlington seeks an experienced Nurse Manager Med Surg to lead nursing care on the assigned unit(s). The role supports safe, efficient delivery of care and collaborates with leadership to implement performance improvement and hospital policies.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years as a staff nurse on a med-surg unit and at least 1 year in a supervisory role, with BLS and Texas RN licensure. A Bachelor's degree is required and a Master's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a staff nurse on a med surg unit.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or charge nurse experience required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
• Current RN license effective in the state of Texas.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee supervision, coordination and evaluation of nursing care on the assigned unit(s).
• Coordinate and supervise unit activities to support safe, efficient care delivery.
• Assist Department Director with Performance Improvement initiatives, policy implementation and unit financial management.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Manager is responsible for the supervision, coordination and evaluation of nursing care provided on the assigned unit(s). The Manager also coordinates and supervises the activities for the unit, which supports the safe and efficient delivery of care. The Unit Manager assists the Department Director in the implementation of Performance Improvement activities, hospital policies/procedures and in the financial management of the Unit.
