Position Overview

As the Nurse Manager, you'll oversee our Mother-Baby Care Unit operations, leading clinical excellence initiatives while managing staff development and patient satisfaction programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct all clinical and operational aspects of the Mother-Baby Care Unit
• Lead and mentor nursing staff, promoting professional development and excellence in patient care
• Ensure compliance with quality metrics and safety standards for maternal and newborn care
• Develop and implement women's health initiatives and process improvements
• Manage departmental budget, staffing, and resource allocation
• Foster collaborative relationships with physicians, staff, and interdisciplinary teams
• Drive patient satisfaction and quality outcomes through evidence-based practices
• Serve as a key liaison between hospital administration and community partners

Required Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license or compact license
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• 5 years recent acute care leadership experience in Mother-Baby Unit (or 2 years supervisory experience)
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC)
• NRP certification
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration
• Certification in Maternal-Newborn Nursing
• Experience with quality improvement initiatives
