Qualifications

This position is incentive eligible and offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus.

Job Summary and Qualifications

  • Responsible for all department functions, supporting mission, vision, and goals.
  • Must be an RN with critical thinking skills within the scope of the RN Practice Act.
  • Ensure patient safety in Postpartum and Newborn Nursery environments.
  • Effective communication and information management skills.
  • Adhere to ANA Standards of Care and Professional Practice.
  • Build partnerships with patients and families.
  • Support continuity and coordination of care across settings.
  • Maintain high-quality, age-appropriate care for infants to adults.
  • Develop women’s health initiatives and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members.
  • Manage personnel, payroll, budgets, physician relations, and hospital/community liaison roles.
  • Organize human and material resources.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required; advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 2 years of management experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification

  • Current RN license in Texas or a compact state.
  • Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC.
  • NRP certification required.
