Job summary

St. Joseph's Health in Paterson, NJ seeks a Nurse Manager of Occupational Health to oversee the hospital's Employee Health/Occupational Health program in collaboration with the Medical Director.

You will ensure regulatory compliance and lead clinical and administrative operations. Responsibilities include supervising OHW staff, developing policies, managing budget, and coordinating with HR and Nursing leadership to address workplace injuries and exposures.

Qualifications

• Experience leading an Employee Health/Occupational Health program.
• Knowledge of OSHA, CDC, HIPAA requirements and related standards.
• Strong policy development and staff supervision capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and perform pre-employment health screenings, immunizations, urine drug screen collections, blood collection and mask fit testing.
• Manage work-related injuries and illness cases.
• Coordinate post-exposure evaluations (e.g., bloodborne pathogens).
• Review and clear employees for return to work.
• Collaborate with Infection Prevention and Safety teams.
• Serve as the Medical Review Officer Assistant.
