Howard University Hospital seeks a Clinical Nurse Manager Neurology 5 West (Neuro/Spine/Brain) to lead nursing operations, clinical practice, and staff development in a high-acuity neurology unit. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and administration to ensure safe, excellent patient care.

The position requires a BSN, DC RN license, BLS, and leadership ability, with a Monday–Friday schedule and a pay range of $130,000–$155,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required.
• Master’s Degree preferred.
• Current District of Columbia RN license.
• BLS certification (American Heart Association).
• Leadership certification within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day department operations.
• Mentor and guide charge nurses and staff; promote Shared Decision-making.
• Manage budgets and monitor variances.
• Lead quality improvement and patient rounds.
• Ensure policies and procedures support high-quality patient care.
• Coordinate with administration, physicians, and multidisciplinary staff.
