Job summary

Holy Cross Health in Silver Spring, MD, seeks a Nurse Manager for the Mother Baby unit to provide operational, clinical, and people leadership for Post-Partum/Couplet Care.

Reporting to the Director of Mother Baby, this role ensures safe, high-quality care, drives patient experience, and oversees staffing, productivity, and budgets.

You will recruit, develop, and retain nursing staff, partner with physicians and leaders, and advance Trinity Health’s Mission, Vision, and Values, with BSN required.

Qualifications

• BSN required (Master’s degree preferred)
• 5+ years acute care RN experience
• 2+ years nurse leadership/supervisory experience
• Active RN license (MD or Compact)
• BLS certification
• Specialty/role certification within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations, staffing, and performance of the Mother Baby unit.
• Ensure safe, high-quality couplet care and excellent patient experience.
• Drive quality, safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain nursing colleagues.
• Partner with physicians and interdisciplinary leaders to achieve service goals.
• Manage productivity, budgets, and resource utilization.
