Responsibilities

• Manages direct reports including recruitment, hiring, coaching, disciplinary actions, development, education, competencies, performance evaluations, and payroll functions.
• Demonstrates critical thinking, creativity and resource management to achieve quality performance and positive employee relations.
• Fosters psychological safety and empowers team to speak up and contribute.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and culture of safety and continuous learning.
• Provides ongoing education and training to nursing staff to maintain high competency levels.
• Prepares unit for audits and surveys and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Manages nursing staff schedules for adequate coverage and patient care.
• Conducts regular staff meetings and communicates updates.
