MEDEX STAFFING NETWORK LLC is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for Maternal Child Health in Turlock, CA. This leadership role oversees Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery, guiding a clinical team to deliver high-quality care for mothers and babies.

The ideal candidate has CA RN licensure (or compact), BSN, and 3–5 years in maternal-child or women's services, with prior nursing leadership.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in California (or compact eligibility).
• BSN required; MSN or graduate degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration preferred
• Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience in Maternal Child Health, OB, or Women's Services
• Prior nursing leadership or management experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of perinatal care, neonatal nursing, and maternal health best practices
• BLS and NRP certifications required ( within 90 days); ACLS & PALS
• Fetal Heart monitoring ( within 90 days)
• Excellent communication, organizational, and team-building skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Maternal Child Health unit, including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, and Newborn Nursery
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety standards
• Develop, implement, and evaluate unit policies, procedures, and evidence-based practice protocols
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to maintain optimal unit performance
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, and hospital administration to drive patient outcomes
• Mentor, coach, and conduct performance evaluations for nursing staff and support professional development
• Monitor compliance with Joint Commission, state, and federal regulatory standards
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and participate in hospital-wide committees
