Job summary

Bethesda Health Group is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to supervise long-term care nursing staff and ensure high-quality resident care. You will assign duties, oversee rounds, and communicate effectively with the Director of Nursing and other departments to address issues promptly.

The role requires an active RN license in the state, with preferred 2+ years in long-term care supervision and 3–5 years in related nursing. Competitive benefits are provided in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state you will be working.
• Two years of long-term care supervisory experience preferred.
• Three to five years of long-term care experience or similar nursing background.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Ability to manage time and organize daily schedule to meet productivity standards.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary.
• Ability to transfer and move residents who weigh 200+lbs with assistance.
• Manual dexterity and coordination for resident care and documentation.
• Visual acuity.
• Ability to manage a diversity of activities.

Responsibilities

• Assigns staff according to policies and ensures equal distribution of duties.
• Supports teamwork and encourages staff to provide resident care in a timely manner.
• Completes rounds to assess residents and care needs.
• Reports concerns and needs to appropriate staff promptly.
• Directs and manages direct patient care using sound nursing judgment at all times.
• Develops measurable staff goals and promotes accountability and autonomy.
• Serves as a resource for nursing personnel and provides guidance when needed.
• Documents plans and communicates teaching relevant to health care needs.
• Maintains safety standards and participates in emergency procedures.
• Monitors monthly QAPI and pharmacy recommendations as applicable.
