Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of Blind Rehabilitation and Long-Term Care initiatives to support high-quality patient-centered care.
• Assist with workforce management activities, including staff scheduling, leave coordination, and schedule adjustments to ensure appropriate unit coverage and continuity of care.
• Collaborate with Human Resources and nursing leadership to address personnel issues, employee concerns, recruitment activities, and performance-related matters.
• Promote compliance with Community Living Center (CLC), Blind Rehabilitation, and acute care policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and standards of nursing practice.
• Support ongoing accreditation and survey readiness efforts, including compliance with Joint Commission (JCAHO) and CARF standards, quality improvement initiatives, and performance measures.
• Provide clinical leadership by guiding, directing, and mentoring nursing staff; ensuring safe delegation of patient care; identifying and addressing ethical issues; and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care and facilitate continuity of services through collaboration with CTA staff, nursing leadership, providers, admissions personnel, residents, families, and community resources to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
