Job summary

Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced Long Term Care / Community Living Center (CLC) Registered Nurse (RN) for a local contract at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. The RN will provide skilled nursing and rehabilitation care to Veterans in a short-stay environment.

Position requires ACEN/CCNE-accredited education, Ohio RN license (or NLC), AHA BLS, and at least two years of recent direct patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of direct patient care within the last three years.
• RN license issued by the Ohio Board of Nursing or valid NLC multistate license.
• ACEN or CCNE accreditation required for nursing education.
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Ability to float between CLC inpatient units.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and ongoing patient monitoring.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide IV therapy and central-line medication administration as needed.
• Coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and the healthcare team.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and manage transitions of care.
• Support discharge planning and patient education.
