Job summary

NYU Langone Health seeks a Nurse Manager to provide clinical leadership and management for a designated care area around the clock. You will uphold the organization’s mission, ensure high-quality nursing care, staff development, and patient/family satisfaction.

Minimum qualifications include NYS RN licensure, BLS, a Master’s in nursing, and 3+ years clinical practice. Leadership certification upon eligibility supports ongoing professional growth within our academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Professional Nurse licensure in New York State.
• Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association.
• Master's degree in nursing required.
• At least three years of pertinent clinical practice.
• Certification in nursing leadership required upon eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical leadership and management of a designated care area on a 24-hour basis.
• Develops an environment of excellence in patient/family service, staff growth and development.
• Collaborates with inter-professional team to ensure quality, patient experience, and efficiency.
• Manages budgeting, staffing plans, and strategic initiatives for the care area.
• Interviews, hires, develops and evaluates departmental leadership.
