Job summary

SGMC Health is seeking a Nursing Administrator for Lanier Campus to oversee the operation of one or more nursing units. The role requires ensuring high-quality patient care, coordinating QA/QI efforts, and managing within budgetary constraints.

The position emphasizes leadership, clinical excellence, and collaboration across the healthcare team to maintain SGMC Health’s mission and standards. Strong nursing background and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Education, licensure and certification as required.
• Four (4) years experience in nursing or paramedicine (leadership/management preferred).
• Strong clinical skills in assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of patient care.
• Ability to lead and develop others and to work effectively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Has twenty-four hour accountability for the overall operation of one or more nursing units.
• Ensures delivery of quality patient care through nursing process implementation for all ages.
• Coordinates unit-based quality assessment and improvement efforts.
• Manages unit(s) within established budgetary parameters.
• Serves as primary liaison between unit(s) and other healthcare team members.
• Maintains SGMC Health mission, values, and standards across units.
