Job summary

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager for Labor & Delivery/Postpartum to provide clinical and operational leadership for the maternal-newborn units in Washington, DC. The role focuses on nursing practice, patient safety, staffing, education, and patient experience.

The manager will lead a team, ensure regulatory readiness, and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary partners to deliver high-quality, family-centered care within UHS’ network.

Qualifications

• BSN required.
• MSN or Healthcare Administration preferred.
• Minimum five years of progressive nursing experience.
• Significant leadership in Labor & Delivery or related areas.
• Current DC RN license and BLS required.
• NRP certification required.
• ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and operational leadership for Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units.
• Develop staff through recruitment, onboarding, coaching, and performance management.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and patient flow.
• Monitor quality, safety, and regulatory readiness; lead improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to advance care.
