Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare West in Houston, TX, is hiring a Manager of Labor and Delivery to lead nursing operations, ensure high-quality patient care, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across the unit.

You will oversee staffing, budgets and staff development, leveraging mentorship opportunities, clinical education courses, and professional certification support to advance your career within the HCA network.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of clinical practice with leadership and management experience.
• Current Texas RN license.
• BCLS certification and Medication Learning Module.
• NRP certification within 6 months of hire.
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification within 6 months of hire.
• ACLS, TX Room, PACU, ICU, HS, L&D, OR credentials.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• Neonate Resuscitation within 6 months of employment start date.
• RN licensure and BSN degree required.

Responsibilities

• Administer, analyze and appraise the care given to patients within designated Nursing Unit.
• Advise hospital management regarding patient care status, budget projections, and quality improvement processes.
• Anticipate and estimate future department needs to improve quality of patient care.
• Function as a resource person for staff and assist in necessary education of staff on nursing competence.
• Collaborate and coordinate staff efforts to accomplish the hospital's mission.
