Horizon Health in Montgomery, AL seeks a Nurse Manager to oversee inpatient behavioral health units and lead nursing staff to deliver quality patient care.

The role collaborates with physicians and treatment teams to ensure safe discharge planning, accurate documentation, and ongoing staff development. Applicants must hold an Alabama RN license and a bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree is preferred.

Formación

• Active RN license in Alabama
• Bachelor's degree required
• Master's degree preferred
• CPR, BLS and ACLS certifications
• 1–3 years nursing management experience
• Experience in an acute care mental health setting preferred

Responsabilidades

• Create, implement and enforce clinical staffing plans
• Provide leadership and direction per hospital guidelines
• Support professional growth and development of nursing staff
• Monitor staff performance and conduct evaluations
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams; ensure discharge planning and proper documentation
• Audit performance and documentation for accuracy
• Ensure quality of care by adhering to standards and outcomes
• Maintain continuity among nursing teams and mentor staff
• Perform RN duties as needed during shortages
• Prioritize tasks and manage resources effectively
