Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa is seeking an experienced RN in a leadership role to oversee venous access and infusion therapy within a night shift schedule. You will supervise staff, develop care plans, and ensure safe patient care in a high-acuity environment.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license with BLS/ACLS, an Associate's Degree in Nursing, and at least 1 year of charge nurse or acute care leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and BLS/ACLS required.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• 1+ year charge nurse or leadership experience preferred.
• 1+ year acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Certifications such as CMSRN/CNOR/CRNI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venous access procedures within RN licensure scope, ensuring patient safety.
• Administer and monitor infusion therapy treatments and adjust care plans.
• Assess patients' conditions to determine venous access methods and address complications.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for venous access and infusion therapy.
• Provide patient education on venous access and infusion therapy.
• Monitor nursing staff performance, provide feedback, and conduct appraisals.
• Mentor staff, identify training needs, and organize educational programs.
• Resolve conflicts among staff using mediation to maintain teamwork.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and analyze data for improvements.
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team.
• Mentor and precept new staff with training and feedback.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and hospital policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
