Qualifications

• BSN required; MSN preferred.

Position Overview

A large, integrated healthcare system is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to oversee Operating Room nursing operations at an acute-care hospital. The ideal candidate is a decisive clinical leader with a strong OR background who can develop high-performing teams, maintain surgical excellence, and ensure a safe, efficient perioperative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 operational and clinical leadership for the hospital Operating Room department
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and on‑call coverage to support surgical service lines
• Lead and develop OR nursing staff through hiring, performance management, and professional growth programs
• Oversee perioperative quality metrics, patient safety initiatives, and regulatory compliance
• Partner with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical services leadership to optimize OR throughput and outcomes
• Manage departmental budget including labor, supply chain, and capital equipment
• Champion a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and staff engagement

Requirements

• Active RN license in Oregon (or compact licensure eligible)
• BSN required; MSN preferred
• 3+ years of perioperative or OR nursing clinical experience
• 2+ years of nursing leadership or charge RN experience in an OR setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• CNOR certification
• MSN or graduate degree in nursing or healthcare administration
• Experience managing multi‑specialty OR environments
• Familiarity with Epic perioperative documentation
